Professor John Vassiliadis – Conference Convenor

Prof Vassiliadis is a senior Emergency Physician with over twenty years’ experience in a quaternary teaching hospital, providing high-acuity, patient-centred emergency care. He is recognised for expertise in managing complex, time-critical presentations and leading multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments. His clinical interests include airway management, trauma resuscitation, patient safety and critical care systems.
Prof Vassiliadis has pioneered the use of healthcare simulation in Emergency Medicine, strengthening clinical performance and team reliability, and also leads critical care education within the Northern Clinical School, shaping the next generation of emergency clinicians.
He holds the rank of Captain in the Royal Australian Navy and provides emergency medical expertise in humanitarian and operational settings. Prof Vassiliadis is known for clinically focused, compassionate and evidence-driven leadership across emergency medicine, education and military health.

Dr Pankaj Arora – Conference Convenor

Dr Pankaj Arora is an Emergency Physician, health investor, and Founder, Chairman and Group CEO of WiSE Medical. A Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM), he brings extensive experience in clinical care, medical education, healthcare leadership and business development.
Since founding WiSE in 2017, Dr Arora has focused on bringing specialist emergency care into the community. WiSE’s walk-in model combines acute assessment, on-site diagnostics, treatment and specialist referral, providing an alternative to hospital emergency departments for appropriate patients.
Alongside his leadership of WiSE Medical, Dr Arora is a Senior Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital, a Visiting Professor of Emergency Medicine at JIPMER in India, and a Board Member of the Global Academy for Emergency Medicine. He previously served as Co-Director of Emergency Medicine Training at Royal North Shore Hospital and as President of the American Academy for Emergency Medicine in India.

Michelle Tayler is the founder of Marketing Practices, a healthcare marketing consultant and an event host with more than 25 years’ experience. She has been responsible for the marketing and launch of hundreds of practices, helping medical, dental and allied health professionals build their brands, attract patients and grow their businesses. Her career spans multinational organisations including 3M, Nestlé, Boehringer Ingelheim, W. L. Gore & Associates (GORE-TEX) and Fairfax Media, Sydney Morning Herald alongside supporting more than 100 dental practices through Dental Corporation. Michelle has also served as editor of Savvy Dentist magazine, working with Dr Jesse Green.
With a strong focus on digital marketing, event management and medical education, Michelle brings together strategic thinking, creativity and practical implementation. She has presented and hosted numerous online summits and hosted hundreds of webinars for medical professionals, helping connect healthcare communities through accessible, engaging education. Through Marketing Practices, she is passionate about demystifying marketing and equipping practice owners with the knowledge,confidence and processes to realise their potential.
